1. The disc separator should be maintained regularly according to the actual production situation.
2. When the disc separator had worked continuously for a period of time, if there was a serious scaling in the drum,it is necessary to open the drum and clean it, in order to keep the good separation effect of the machine.
3. Close all the inlet and outlet valves, loosen the screws and nuts connecting the pipes and the cover, remove the inlet and outlet pipes, the cover and other components. All the components should be placed with care on clean and soft rubber plate or wooden plate to prevent damage. The parts of the drum should be assembled and disassembled with special tools.
4. Put the parts in a special washing tank and wash them. The dirt on the disc surface can be cleaned with bamboo and wooden scrapers, but metal parts are not allowed to be used. The groove of sealing ring and the small holes on the parts must be cleaned to prevent blocking. Replace the damaged and aged sealing ring in time.
5. After the cleaned parts are dried, assemble each part with special tools. The parts on the different machines are not allowed to be interchanged. The discs must be installed in the order of number from small to large. The arc-shaped notch on the discs must be aligned with the “O” mark. After being pressed by the disc pressing device, tighten the locking ring until the locking ring, the drum cover and the “O” mark are aligned. The thread surface of the locking ring and the drum must be smooth and free of burrs. Then evenly coat with lubricating oil to prevent the thread from jam.
6. Lift the assembled drum, clean the inner holes of the drum and the upper cone surface of the vertical shaft, evenly coat with lubricating oil, carefully install the drum on the vertical shaft, and lock the stud in time. Release the brake handle and turn the drum gently by hand, the drum must be rotated flexibly. Check again that there is nothing left before installing the cover.
7. When the new machine has worked 250 hours for the first time, the copper scraps of gearbox must be cleaned and the gearbox lubricating oil must be replaced. After that, every 750 hours, the machine should be maintained.
8. After the disc separator has been running for six months, the corrosion and wear of the drum components should be checked carefully, if there is any abnormal, it must be repaired.
If the disc separator has been used continuously for two years, or the vibration intensity of the machine exceeds 4.5 mm/s, the bearing of the machine should be checked, the moving balance of the drum should be verified, and the drum, the locking ring, the drum cover, the sliding piston, the vertical shaft should be subject to NDT. After that, the flaw detection should be carried out every two years to prevent fatigue damage.
9. During the working process, the vertical shaft is always in a high rotating speed to transmit power. Its axial and radial parts are supported on the machine body by springs. The precision of the springs is very high, the springs have been strictly checked, so it is not allowed to replace the springs with other springs. The nine radiation springs in the spring chamber must be replaced at the same time, single replacement is not allowed, in order to prevent affecting the operation accuracy of the machine.
10. The bearings on the vertical shaft are all imported bearings with high precision. In the process of assembling and disassembling, the bearings should be carefully protected and washed. The bearings are not allowed to be hammered which will affect their precision.
11. Due to long-term high-speed operation, the fatigue phenomenon will occur in the vertical shaft. Therefore, the vertical shaft must be subject to a surface non-destructive inspection every two years, in order to avoid the phenomenon of fatigue.
12. If the separator will not be used for a long time, all parts in the drum should be taken down, cleaned, and placed in a ventilated and dry place. The rubber parts should be moisture-proof, sun-proof and dust-proof to prevent rubber aging.
